Suibans, Designed for Japanese flower arranging. Also useful as food servers.
Au-Gratin dishes. Small 8" Large 9" 2" - 2 1/2"

The Suibans were originally created at the request of an Ikebana Master for Japanese Flower arranging. However, many people soon discovered they are useful as food servers. All of these pieces incorporate the glazes I believe make food presentation attractive. Without decoration these glazes serve as a “canvas” for any food placed on them. They are either Stoneware or White Stoneware and each piece is designed to serve a specific purpose although the Au-gratin dishes can be used as food servers. The rectangular Sushi Dishes can also be made without the handles.
