Made of Stoneware or White Stoneware. These Cut Handle Plates are “signature” pieces highly collected and requested by galleries and stores. The Cut Handle plate, like the Cut Handle bowls look well in all my glazes and, they too, make excellent presentation dishes for all kinds of food, raw or cooked. I brought a plate of spaghetti to the table in a Temmoku glazed plate and it looked magnificent. The Wedding Plate so named because the first one made was for a wedding. The Gold handle executions on the Wedding Plate have qualities that elevate these pieces to collector status. However, they too, are practical and useful. The Magma glaze is NEW and continues the Chinese Oxblood heritage in a way that expresses depth in the glaze. The Wedding Plate can be totally glazed in any of the glazes I use, as well.
